As one of the top students at the Diocesan Boys’ School in Hong Kong and talented violinist, Michael Fung is an elite member and student leader at Monticle. Michael arrived to Canada as a humble boy with great leadership potential. He joined his first program at the age of 14. By 15 years old, he has experienced some of Monticle’s most challenging events to date.

With the guidance and inspiration of fellow teammates and instructors, Michael thrived in his new environment and progressed above and beyond expectations. In the summer of 2011, during his enhancement training, Michael successfully completed a 156 km walk from Toronto to Niagara Falls in 30 hours, and set a new record by paddling across Lake Ontario in 7 hours and 55 minutes. His drive and determination is an inspiration to allthose around him. Michael strives to continue his achievements by pursuing higher academics in North America.
