The Monticle Adventure:
Alaskan Expedition 2012

The Monticle Adventure returns with a once-in-a-lifetime roadtrip across the nation! Experience what it’s like to travel over 20,000 km from Toronto to the Rocky Mountains and beyond into the great land of Alaska. Be part of this exciting journey that takes you to famous Canadian landmarks like the West Edmonton mall, Lake Louise, Columbia Icefields, and more! Learn how to live in style while you’re on the move, camping outdoors, slumbering in hotels, or motels during the trip. Monticle members will be able to experience and witness the beautiful and famous wilderness of both Canada and Alaska.

Learn the roles of an effective team, and the importance of teamwork in overcoming challenges. Students will be assigned responsibilities that include the Safety Officer, Navigator, Reporter, Photographer, and Cook. Through these roles, practical skills in leadership, cooking, strategic planning, and responsibility will be learned. Teams are kept small to ensure a better learning experience as instructors can focus on one-on-one attention and care towards students needs. Students must have a valid US and/or Canadian travel visa.
