YURI LAZAREV

With over 10 years of service in the Canadian Forces as a medical technician, Yuri possesses valuable knowledge and vast experience in dealing with emergency situations. After successfully completing his instructor course in 2008, he has been teaching various training courses to both adults and youth.
Impressively, Yuri completed both a Police Foundations and Applied Forensic Investigative Sciences diploma from Seneca College. In 2010, Yuri completed a degree in Anthropology from University of Waterloo, further broadening his educational skill set.
Armed with a wide array of skills and abilities, Yuri is an important asset to the Monticle team. His natural leadership abilities and extensive educational foundation make him a great instructor and role model for the youth. During his spare time, Yuri enjoys hiking, camping and playing competitive soccer.
YURI'S FACTS:
• In 2010, Yuri played soccer for the Borden military base team. The team won the military Regionals and went on to play at the Nationals.
• Yuri was born in Uzbekistan, lived in Israel, and is now living in Canada.
• In 2010, Yuri worked for a decontamination unit as a treatment team leader for the Vancouver Olympics. This unit was responsible for responding to any chemical, biological or radiological threats.
